Use of the Spotify Service is governed by all applicable Spotify Terms and Conditions, which can be found at and which must be accepted to redeem the PIN and use the Spotify Service. No incremental deductions are allowed and no change is given or credits provided for unused portions of the card value. The full value of this card is deducted at the first PIN redemption regardless of whether products equal to that value are actually purchased in that transaction. This is a single use card, and the PIN can only be used in a single purchase transaction to acquire Spotify products as described at as amended from time to time. Internet access and compatible hardware and software are also required. The PIN can be redeemed only at or, if you are already a Spotify member, within your Spotify account. To redeem the PIN, you will be required to register as a Spotify member and you must be at least 13 years old and you must be in the U.S.

If anyone is thinking of starting a legal procedure, please let me know. You can't use them, but I'd be happy to sell them to you. I think I'm going to start selling gift cards. There is just no reasonable way a consumer could know about this limitation when purchasing the card, even if they do their due dilligence.įurthermore, once the code on the cards are scrached (which you need to do to discover that the code cannot be used) you cannot return it, and the card states you cannot resell it.ĪRG. The Terms & Conditions of Spotify don't mention this limitation either. Nowhere does it state this can only be used for specific membership plans, it just says to refer to the /redeem page which has no fine print at all. The gift cards each say the have a $30 Spotify value. The only solution I've been given, is wait 3 months until your Family membership ends (assuming I don't want to keep it, which I do) then become a premium member and use the gift cards. Spotify just says "Sorry", but doesn't offer any real solution.
